Installation
Create a Power Automate environment
The first step in installing Share Control Notifications is to set up a Power Automate environment. This requires global administrator access.
Setting up the Power Automate environment is done in the admin center. Click New at the top of the window and follow the instructions. We have provided suggested values in the table below, however, the solution does not require these to work except for creating a database. We also strongly encourage to create a Production environment.
Name | ShareControl |
---|---|
Type | Production |
Region | Europe (do not choose Norway as it has issues with Approvals) |
Purpose | Environment for the Share Control notifications solution |
Create a database for this environment | Yes (required) |
Language | Select your preferred language |
URL | sc-[name of company] (e.g. sc-sharecontrol) |
Currency | Select your local currency |
Enable Dynamics 365 apps | No |
Deploy sample apps and data | No |
Security group | None |
If you need multiple environments, you can add a suffix to the Name and URL like this:
Name (1) | ShareControl IFRS16 |
---|---|
URL (1) | sc-sharecontrol-ifrs |
Name (2) | ShareControl Contracts |
URL (2) | sc-sharecontrol-contracts |
Licensing
If you don’t own any licenses for Power Automate or Power Apps, you will need this as well. With a single license, you will get the default Dataverse capacity of 10 GB. It’s not necessary to assign the license to any user.
License | Price | Dataverse Capacity |
---|---|---|
Power Automate per user plan | $15 (kr 132.20) per month | 10 GB by default + 250 MB per license |
