What is the Transparency Act?

The Transparency Act is a Norwegian law passed by the Storting, which entered into force on 1 July 2022. The aim of the Act is to promote businesses’ respect for human rights and decent working conditions, and to ensure the public’s access to information. The Act applies to larger enterprises domiciled in Norway, as well as larger foreign enterprises that offer goods and services in Norway and are liable to tax in Norway according to Norwegian internal legislation.

What is ShareControl Transparency?

ShareControl Transparency helps businesses manage the requirements of the Transparency Act. It keeps track of your suppliers and their risk level, allows you to collect information through surveys, and can create a report based on your findings.

The app is installed in the Microsoft Power Platform on your tenant, and all data is also safely stored here. The layout of ShareControl Transparency is easy to follow and consists of three different sections:

  1. The navigation menu is where you can navigate to the different pages in the application.
  2. The command bar allows you to perform related actions depending on the page you are on.
  3. The currently selected page is displayed in the main area of the application.
