3.5 Calendar and guidelines
You can edit the contents of the calendar via the link. The events are colored in the calendar. It’s also possible to link the calendar in your Outlook, so you can edit the calendar directly in Outlook. Note that everyone who has access to the solution will be able to see the contents of this calendar.
The administrator can add internal guidelines, relevant articles, links, etc. under Guidelines.
You can combine company-internal guidelines with the Knowledge Portal, so that everything is in one place. This way, you’ll save time for emails, version conflicts, etc. You can also enter your own and templates here, so that the user has these easily accessible. Links to other sites may also be posted.
We recommend separating guidelines from other documents, as these are used to understand the routines and principles the company follows and are not edited by the user (Unlike folders and documents in the library). Internal guidelines can be uploaded in the relevant libraries (These will then not be visible in other libraries).
Start by saving the file in SharePoint. Click Up one level in the top menu. Navigate to Site Contents and use the Documents library to upload your guidelines, etc.
⚠If you’re unable to find Site Contents, click the cogwheel in the upper right corner and select Site Content from the menu.
Return to Settings and select the Calendar and guidelines tab.
To add guidelines, enter the title, type or copy a URL, upload a file etc., or use to find the document that you wish to add. You can now browse Documents and select the file uploaded to the Documents library as described above.
When you click , you’ll see the image below. Here, you can also select the library in which you want the document to be displayed. Select Choose libraries and select the libraries where the link should be placed. Press
to save.
