4.10 Move folder to another library
The Move folder function is found under the cogwheel. This is useful when you want to clean up your library by moving expired contracts to a separate library or by reorganizing your libraries.
If you want to move a folder to a new library, do so by pressing the cogwheel behind the folder and selecting Move folder.
You will then see the following menu:
Using the drop-down menu, you can select which library to move to.
Moving a contract from one library to another involves checking the metadata. This is to ensure that you don’t transfer a contract from one library with a specific metadata set to another library with a different metadata set, which will result in data loss. Below is an overview of the various messages that may appear when you move a contract.
If this green message appears, the destination library is ok.
If there’s information / data in the contract that needs to be modified or deleted before you move the contract, the message will look as illustrated below. The folder / contract cannot be moved until data has been deleted from the fields. In the example below, the library we wanted to move to didn’t have Currency or Contract payments fields.
